There is decent amount of nip for the seamers as Broad showed unfortuanttley the Pak seamers are no way near the class of Anderson & Broad..

There is decent amount of turn for the spinners too, even if slower than the previous ground. Plus with the square more abrasive there was some reverse for England too. Pakistan have been a bit off today and also a bit unlucky, and England have shown far far more application.

It's certainly not a road, imo. Even the scoring rate somewhat illustrates that.

That term is used too loosely these days.

HawkEye's "Umpire's Call" parameters are waaaaaaaaaaay too conservative.

It's because people are paranoid. For whatever reason, people are far more comfortable with the idea of the standing umpire making an error than technology doing so, so we're stuck with a half-arsed version of the system to ensure nothing is even incorrectly over-turned - even if it means we get less decisions right overall.

Indeed, anti-technology types even manage to criticise UDRS for failing to correct poor decisions; never mind the fact that poor decisions were made in the first place or the fact that such an instance has no impact - be it positive or negative - on the game in comparison to what it'd be like without the system. Never mind that at all.

I'm not sure that should be overturned, but the fielding side shouldn't lose a review in that scenario.
