because he had total control of it. the catch had been completed by the time the ball touched the ground.

well that settles the long running Coyte v Hayden debate. #Can'tBatAgainstPace

If he had;ve dropped the ball as he hit the ground it wouldn't have been a catch.

I think Baz got screwed there.

I haven't seen the catch, but I know what you're talking about, and that's where the interpretation of the rules comes into it. The same thing happened in 2008 with Ponting vs India. The rule is there for the ball hitting the ground when the player loses control of it, not for situation where the player has complete control and the ball incidentally touches the ground.

International Coach
After some of the 'local knowledge' I traded Chris Gayle out of my team.

If they get a full game and he makes runs I swear to god I will shank so many of you ****s.
will be worth it.

stopped raining here now too for the first time in about 36 hours so might get a full game in

Baz thought the catch was fair and walked. In the spirit of the game I would call the catch good, though one could argue technicalities and say it wasn't.

Interpretations like that are why this is such a wonderful sport. Most other sports you'd see 6 players all within 1m of the official shouting in his face.

I got rid of Gayle too Benchy. Gayle, Maxwell and Botha gone.

Hodge, Christian and Starc in.

Just remembered that Christian is my el captain.

it's a danger to have such young ball boys tbh. although i'm sure they'll learn that once the ball hits the rope it'll spit up at your face....

Think you went for Wright a little late, surely he can't be good a few games in a row!

BTW another thing:
Are Brisbane Heat a better batting unit than England?

Heat 79/3, England 79/5.
