It would be such a stupid move to change a bowling combination that found great success in Melbourne to incorporate Harris who has yet to truly prove his fitness. Without Watson, I am frightened to think of what would happen if Harris was to breakdown midway through the game and we had to rely upon 15+ overs from Hussey.
Harris is fit. The management decided to go with Hilfenhaus for "stability" in the side. Which is stupid. You don't keep a sub-25 averaging bowler out for a 35 average bowler.

If anything this highlights the ridiculous scheduling of the Big Bash. Yet again.

Gambhir is a bit of a worry for India. He hasn't scored a hundred since January 2010 - almost two years ago - and that too was against Bangladesh. His last hundred against serious opposition was in this match in 2009 where India racked up 642 with the top three all scoring big tons. In his last 16 Tests he averages 28. He'd probably be close to being dropped by now if not for the gritty innings he played in South Africa; but even that was based a lot more on resolve than a strong technical base. I suppose the most interesting question is who people think India would bring in for him if they decided to drop him at some point this series; would Sharma play with Dravid opening, or would Rahane come in and open himself?
Take the **** back and shoot him in the arm and call in an injury replacement more like it.

Worried for Lyon. India could potentially destroy another spinner's career this match on the basis that he'll bowl a ton in Sydney.

Moreover, the expectations for spinners are always somewhat heightened in Sydney, even though, if anything, she's more favoured the pacemen in recent years. That said, I think it will be a while before the selectors jump off the Lyon wagon, even if he does get pummelled for the balance of the series.

Had a dream this morning. India won the toss, decided to bat first, and Sachin hit a ton. Let's see how much of it comes true.

Looking back on Foxsports this morning...how boring and tiresome was that whole Monkeygate Affair!

Involved some of the biggest arsewipes in international cricket at the time - Symonds, Harby, Hayden etc.

Then Hayden, Symonds and Ponting showed up to hearing looking like they heading for a night at the local RSL
