Good reactions from the young fella. Especially impressive given where his head ends up at the end of his action.

Have to say the teenies is looking like the decade where the quicks came back in a big way. Oz, the Saffers and ourselves all looking pretty well served in that dept suddenly.

Yep, great to see. Kiwis managed to find an attack from somewhere too.

WTF 90mph off 3 paces? Hahaha. Only a while ago SA were whinging about a lack of depth in the fast bowling beyond Steyn+Morkel, and suddenly now they have two who could be pushing Morkel out, plus the lieks of Tsotsobe and Parnell for extra backup. Found a spinner to round off the attack for good measure.

wtf is up with the background music on the telecast?

Sounds like the music from the opening credits of Forrest Gump.

The googly!! Finally!!
And caught and bowled off a no ball!
Normally I wouldn't say taking a wicket of a no-ball is unlucky (especially for a spinner), but here it's just tough luck. Weird call....

No DRS in this Test either? Not that it would have mattered, as the batsman might have changed his mind after the call, but still.

I always thought that as soon as something is called a no-ball it has to stay a no-ball, you can't revoke that decision (unless the bowler doesn't actually release the ball). Don't know if this is true though.

"We semised then that he [Clarke] was a pretty poor tosser."

Great commentary.

So for those who are watching what's the reasoning behind Tahir bowling so many overs?

From someone looking at the bare stats it seems a rather bizarre distribution of overs for a first day with a team of South Africa's seam options, playing at home, against a team like Sri Lanka. I realise Tahir had a c&b chalked off and a possible stumping, but he also had a Dilshan freebie and he's not set the world alight yet in his career.
