New ball in 3 overs, reckon it'll be over quickly after that
Fleming on radio saying might be best not to take it in bright sunshine. Don't think I agree with him with a tailender at one end, but then it might go for a few runs too. Ashwin bowling well too.

Just when you think the thread couldn't get any more ridiculous, pup11 comes in with his philosophy on Australian cricket. That's exactly what we need to do, try and hit more boundaries.
Positive approach means having conviction in every shot you play whether that's a forward defence or a full blooded pull shot, the shots that likes of Ponting, Marsh and Clarke played to get out today were always going do little else other than get them out and the problem there was lack of conviction in the shots these guys were trying to play, they were in two minds whether to defend or play a shot and that sort of lack of clarity has been cause of all of our batting problems.

Not even close to a good number eight. He bats with a nice technique, however he is always a good chance of a caught behind and he isn't the strongest hitter if an increased tempo is required.
He has very good temperament though. Prepared to patiently grind it out at one end and play the occasional stroke. can bat well with specialist batsmen.

He bats like a really poor specialist batsman. Number eight is much too high for someone of his ability. I have no problem with Australia selecting the four best bowlers with Siddle batting at eight, however the batting order need to work so much harder for this lineup to work.

I don't have a verdict on the Cowan appeal to be honest. HotSpot and Hawkeye showed nothing, and the anti-DRS brigade has used that to say just how bad those two tools are. The pro-DRS brigade has used the same to argue that it was a howler. Peace.

Good game so far imo. Aussies to get 320ish.

hmm ok maybe number 9 would be a good position for him.
