That spell was all 138-142.@Flem what speed was Southee bowling when he got Haddin - you said it was 5 kms faster.
Can't remember, but his spell after lunch was low 140s according to both the radio and Athlai (who watched the game on his computer obvz).@Flem what speed was Southee bowling when he got Haddin - you said it was 5 kms faster.
Yes, because most people living in Brisbane are expat Victorians getting away from Melbourne.Which explains the Gabba crowd on a Saturday
That spell was all 138-142.
Obviously Aussie Fans won't be impressed with that - given their bowlers can go 150 kms - but I think it is heroic that he dug as deep as he could and bowled his absolute heart out with accuracy for his country. Well done Tim.Can't remember, but his spell after lunch was low 140s according to both the radio and Athlai (who watched the game on his computer obvz).
So trueNo-one got dropped after folding for 88 at Headingley.
No-one got dropped after 98 all out at Melbourne.
No-one got dropped after 21/9.
Why would today be any different?
Genius!
NoAlso was it NZ's first post Hadlee win against a top 8 team, playing abroad?
Definitely not. We've had a few series wins against West Indies, Sri Lanka etc. Also was it NZ's first post Hadlee win against a top 8 team, playing abroad?
Na we won plenty in the 90s. Last victory against a top 8 team overseas was West Indies in 2002Also was it NZ's first post Hadlee win against a top 8 team, playing abroad?
On dot!I don't know about your assessment of Bracewell - his regulation outswingers mixed up with straight ones have been surprisingly effective - you don't need to bowl magic balls to get wickets. Yeah he bowled some village spells in Brisbane but seemingly listened to Taylor and improved.
Australia have 4 bowlers that are Test quality 9-10s.@Aussie fans will settle down from the victory by tomorrow I promise.
Another thought I have is that Bracewell analysed Lyon at the end there and decided he might be an lbw candidate and decided that he wasn't going to nick him out and would try at the stumps. Taylor saw the same thing and gave his bowler a midwicket in case he clipped off his legs. So the wicket was due to good thinking by the bowler and captain.
Finally Lyon actually batted very well not sure why he was the number 11.
Lol
Heh.
