***Official*** New Zealand in Australia 2011

Ruckus

International Captain
The drop was a cracking seed tbf, but yes leaving on length is what he needs to learn. Just playing far too many balls that he could be leaving alone. If he is leaving the short ones, he'll force the bowlers to pitch up and his driving is all class.
eh...

NZ to stand outside the gates and apologize to the fans.
I think Vettori, Dean and Marto are probably exempt. Dougeh gets a pass too because of all the dropped catches. But the rest should be put in the stock and the New Zealand supporters club given a nice big bag of rotten fruit.

He's 23.

Problem is, he's just not learning. Seems to want a swack at everything he should just leave.
He is learning. He's in the process of reworking his entire backfoot technique while playing test cricket. Imagine how hard that is.

I'm not saying he definitely will make it, just he's got the back and away out of his game, but now he's getting squared up. It's always the back foot too.

I think it's harsh to say he isn't learning. I really think he's trying.

State Captain
If Watson is back I'd drop Hughes and get him to figure out how to play that ball he keeps getting out to. Would like to see what Warner can do in Test cricket and if he needs to work on anything.

Pretty clear he's getting to his left better in the past year.

Not the easiest man of the match decision. Any of Clarke, Lyon or Pattinson could get it and I wouldn't complain.

Yup, fair enough assessment that, although you're possible a touch generous with Braces, taking wickets with no-balls is criminal, but at least he looked likely at times.

Given the viewers are deciding it'll be either Clarke or Pattison I reckon. Viewers don't have a long memory. I'd like to see Clarke get it myself, but Lyon's effort was immense.

the problem with letting the public pick man of the match is that the public ****ing suck balls

We're gonna see players who set up the game on day 1 miss out on MotM awards because viewers only really remember the last day or maybe two.
