Just basically laid into the top order for being shunts, bemoaned the lack of Test cricket that New Zealand get but then at the same time saying that they're hardly an attractive prospect for broadcasters because their games don't go the distance and questioned the board and players' commitment to taking Test cricket seriously.

Experience is a funny thing, get experience of collapsing and choking and you might well get better at it. See England in the 90s and South Africa. Playing completely freely without the battle scars and that fear - like say Cummins - is sometimes what you need.

I think people confuse experience with an awful lot of things like knowing your own game, composure, intelligence. With so much technology and the support staff it cuts out a lot of the benefit of experience.

I think you confuse a lot of things. Wouldn't knowing your game come through experience? Wouldn't composure come with a few games under your belt and feeling comfortable..with experience? Wouldn't intelligence be gained over time...with experience?

Technology and support staff do not override experience.

Anyway. Why the hell are we bringing Arnel over for the 2nd Test?

Can't argue with any of that. Exactly why Jeremy won't be welcomed into the SKY box.

If Test cricket was the most lucrative of formats, our guys would be outstanding at it. Guaranteed.

Nufan, you asked earlier about the word I'd use to describe Shield batting line ups...

Cameron White just took a 5-fer against the previously undefeated Qld. There isn't a word in the English language that comes close to adequately describing the level of utter ****ing dire required for that to occur.
