Even so, goodish tailenders like the Aussie can cope with 135 kms whereas they will be genuinely intimated with speeds of mid 140s, that's where Milne would be handy, especially considering finishing the tail has been our achilles heel for years now.

It wasn't a bad effort with the bat, but still it was against NZ and included a ridiculous amount of drops and the bowled off a no ball. Realistically a 250 effort against a good side.

BMac will be looking to erase the deficit before stumps.

Short and three feet outside off-stump. BMac wants to knock off the deficit and so he goes to SLAM it. Because that's the way he plays.

He gets a thin edge to the keeper. Because that's the way he plays.

He then fronts up at the press conference after 4 more wickets have fallen before stumps, bemoaning "our shot selection."

Southee's yorkers are a valuable asset I reckon but yeah it'd be nice to have one bowler who could crank it up a bit to blow through the tail.

How would you lot rate all of the bowlers in the match so far? Their whole innings too (Lyon's spell was a head above the rest but the whole innings may have dragged him down a bit)
