Yeah no ****, Aussie commentators are the pits. Even the most biased and parochial commentators overseas know a bit about domestic cricket in other countries, the C9 commentators are basically C9 PR rather than actual commentators on the game.

Do any of them have any involvement in cricket beyond their commentating and the speaking circuit any more?

This isn't good.

The fact that Brownlie's scoring runs despite the fact that the main reason why he's even playing for New Zealand is that he wasn't good enough for Shield cricket makes me feel the same way to Saffies when Pietersen and Trott score runs. :p

They don't think very highly of their audience.

Say what ever we want, the audience knows nothing.
Two years is only three tests ago for NZ isn't it?

The channel nine blokes are lazy because so many of them have security of tenure and because they're a free to air team which errs on the side of catering for the uninitiated or less initiated, not cricket wonks like us.
