How successful has Patterson been in OD's in grade Cricket and where does he bat?

Surely he'd be an obvious inclusion in this team. Can't work out why Maddinson doesn't get a game either. In saying this, NSW look like winning this match again so perhaps change isn't really needed?

Batted 3 in Aus u19. And from what I saw he was the only one scoring runs.

well much like aus our top order has been pretty unreliable this season. but then partly because of all the changes to the top order

I'm surprised they didn't rush Patterson in, will maybe happen next match. don't think there's too much to go on this season in grade OD cricket for him. Was pretty solid on the recent U19 tour tho. he'd probably go straight into first drop for Cruickshank if picked. Maddinson hasn't really done much yet in ODers so it's understandable to see him dropped. I think he was caught out by Smith's knock and the call to keep Nev in the side. Patterson would be ahead of him.

SOK is a problem. He won our OD player of the year award last season based on his batting pretty much, so to me it's kinda annoying to bat him at 8. But then 6 might be too high. And then Nev's playing a good knock now, but hasn't before. while Moz is moz.

But yeah I'd like to see SOK play a couple of games higher up the order. of course who knows when SOK comes back....

Well I wouldn't say Smith's knock stuffed it up. The call to keep Nev on as keeper did. If we played Smith as keeper we could have had Maddinson down at 4/5/6, which we've done before to decent effect. But someone had to be squeezed out.

WA butterfingers saved it. I don't know why he was trying to play the C White lofted straight drive for 6 when the team needed to go at 3 an over. Plays like a millionaire too often.

Half of my old cricket team would have gone to school with him so I'm sure I've heard stuff about him before. but you know, didn't record because 'who the **** is Kurtis?'


He hasn't got a contract yet, but the Sydney (SCG) Sixers have one spot left, so I would have thought he'd get it. Given there's a lack of top order talent there. (1. Lumb. 2. Maddinson. 3. Cowan......))

Smith and Beer were side by side on the pitch, I think Ferret Face was looking for a run. They were right next to each other, holding their line, when Beer elbowed Smith in the grill of his helmet while not looking.

He unmistakably did it deliberately. Just shows a Victorian moving to WA makes for twice the ****.
