Bowling a stack of overs isn't that awesome a quality to have. Taking 20 wickets is.

In a 5 man attack you can have Copeland keeping it tight while the other bowlers take the wickets to actually win the match. In a 4 man attack there possibly isn't enough resources to take 20 wickets in a match on a consistent basis.

When it comes down to it, the selectors obviously think Copeland is less likely to take wickets as often as the bowlers selected. I can see completely where they are coming from.

Hopefully for Copeland's sake he actually starts taking some wickets in the second dig vs. WA.
Haha what? Isn't it already well established that Copeland does take wickets when he bowls lots of overs? Hence his high WPM ratio? Ridiculous assertion on your part.

^ Haha, on da money son ......

Over 70.5: Beer to Taylor, no run, OUT, plants the front foot for a big slog sweep but he's top edged it. Starc from deep backward square leg races to his left before having to dive full length. He's held on to a special catch to break the stand!

I never said anything to the opposite effect.

You're missing the fact that Copeland takes more wickets than the other bowlers on a game to game basis and he concedes fewer runs in doing so. That he takes slightly longer is the only down side.
You say in a 5 man attack you can have him keep it tight while the others take wickets, it's st00pid. He keeps it tight and takes wickets at the same time, that's kind of the point.

Basically I disagree with basically everything you're saying and your logic is flawed :)

Over 72.5: Beer to Ryder, SIX, down the track and launches the ball straight back over Beer's head and into the carpark again!
Over 72.6: Beer to Ryder, SIX, they finally found the ball and now Ryder's hit it back to the same spot!! Into the carpark behind Beer again!

So great to see Jess back in form

Four bowlers? Weak. Brisbane will be a draw.

Two rookie strike bowlers isn't enough, especially now Ponting is showing signs of form. Brownlie is the seventh best batsman in the squad ffs, why can't anyone but CW see it?

Four bowlers is even more stupid when Tim Southee has only just returned from injury. Unless Australia feel like collapsing to Vettori or chasing defensive wide bore draw material from Martin, we need Southee and Dougeh to go nuts.
