Bowling in the nets doesn't make you match fit, genius,
The series is still 1 month away and he is going to be playing 2 FC Matches + possibly ODI's till then. "No chance of being anywhere match fit" though, apparently.

I don't see on what basis Harris you can say will be more fit than Zaheer.

He hasn't managed three Tests in a row yet.
Zaheer's still coming back from serious injury. Harris's problems are more strains and stuff which aren't that serious comparatively.

60/40 to Australia I'd say, considering we're playing in Australia. It's gonna take quite a special performance from our bowlers to really compete this time around. I don't know what condition Irfan Pathan is in right now, but quite honestly, I'd take him to Australia.

I expect us to win the CB ODI Tri-series though.
Irfan is bowling pretty well at the moment, he has picked 14 wickets in the 2 FC matches in which he has bowled in the current Ranji trophy series, I saw his bowling, he is getting his rhythm back and is looking much fitter and has bowled long spells. He has also played a whole t20 series just before the start of the Ranji trophy and has done really well.

Pity he's never done it at Test level then really isn't it?

2 FC games after what, 2-3 years or something for someone with his persistent record of being more than a little **** should not get him anywhere near this touring squad.

He's had one amazing performance against a good side, which qualifies him for legendary status in India until he has several repeated awful performances and people realise that actually, he's a bit ****.

See also, Sreesanth.

Why do you always have something offensive to say against India?

Indian squad announced.

Zaheer is in, Harbhajan kept out. Rohit, Rahane and Saha selected.

Guess Kumar, Ashwin and Khan will be automatic selections in the side. Umesh Yadav could get in ahead of Sharma as the 3rd pace bowler. Pissed off that Pujara hasn't been selected.

Guess the booing from the crowds is going to be much less now that Harbhajan isn't playing.:p

And the series will be a lot smoother in general imo.

I wouldn't risk Zaheer in his current state.

Yadav, Ashwin, Sharma and Kumar will be the attack you'd think.

Also, if/when Zaheer plays, I think it'll be Kumar, not Sharma/Yadav that misses out.

Yeah, but Pujara was a long shot tbh. Hasn't played any cricket for around 6 months.Been extremely unlucky.:(

Rahane as a backup opener is a interesting one too(as he has just started opening), with Mukund missing out perhaps harshly, who being a backfoot player could have perhaps done well in Australia.

Well he has 4 games(2 domestic, 2 Warmup games) to prove his fitness and form, so lets see how does that go
