I'm hoping for that one freak bowling performance by us to win us a game, then either 3 draws for a win or 2 draws and a loss to make it even.

I'd probably go with 2-1 to Australia though.

considering the modern era australian pitches and the quality of bowling from both sides, it might be a run feast for the batters...can't see any side winning it very easily though...australia slightly favorite of course
Depends how much the curators change the pitches from FC to test

Isn't Ishant out of Australia as well or am I just imagining things?
He needs to get ankle surgery but he is delaying it so that he could take part in the tour and to top it off he is not even resting right now, currently he is playing domestic T20 tournament (Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy)

Safe to say that the Indian management have been rather slow in learning the lessons from the England tour.

Pujara says he is fit for compettive cricket. Might play in the Oz series.

Really hope he plays , will solve the indecision around the number 6 position

Hope he is fully fit. Don't want the **** to pull out at the start of another test making us play with a 10 man team. I would gladly take another whitewash in Australia if it means giving new bowlers experience. Ojha is going to be smashed but Ashwin's accuracy will make sure that he keeps one end tight even if he doesn't take many wickets. Interested to see how Yadav, Aaron etc go in the series. Ishant Sharma can suck on a lemon. Will never be as good as he was 2-3 years ago unless he plays county cricket for a season or two in England.

And he will be playing two domestic games also before the Australia tour. Will provide a good idea how fit and ready he is

Without doubt india is a better batting side than australia with tendulkar, dravid and laxman n australia definately have better bowlers than india. It all depends on indian pacers to deliver,if they bowl well definately india wil win but for d current performance india depends on spin so Australia hav d upperhand. The another thing is that australia have played with a strong side like south africa where india is playing against a weak west indies side. So definately australia r ahead at d moment.According to me Australia wil win d series 2-1.

I don't see the difference in pace bowling to be that great. Both attacks have one world class quickie each in Harris and Zaheer, and both are likelier to be liabilities than advantages. The rest....Cummins, Johnson (if included), Siddle, Copeland VS Sharma, Yadav, Aaron, PK (if fit).......at least we won't be giving up much in terms of pace for a change...and our batting should balance out the slight superiority of Aussie bowling anyway. Should be a fun series.

Kumar is fit, they just aren't picking him for some stupid reason.

Without Zaheer and with Harris, our attack >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> yours. Without Harris and with Zaheer, your attack >>>>>>>>> ours. Without or with both, our attack > yours. Also, Harris will be fit more often than Zaheer you'd think.

Having said that, India's batting ****s on Australia's.

I don't see on what basis Harris you can say will be more fit than Zaheer.

He hasn't managed three Tests in a row yet.

It will be interesting what direction we take with Harris. If available he is our first choice bowler, and it's incredible how easily he bounces back from injury.

The problem obviously is that Harris may never string an entire series together. Australia have a good chance to build a bowling attack going forward, however having Harris float in and out might do more harm than good in the long run.
