Do Australia have international commitments next year that would hinder the likes of Khawaja, Cummins and Warner from getting a solid season of County Cricket under their belts?
i'm sure Aus can put something together that prevents that from happening.

Paul Keating was in the Lodge when Ponting first strode to the Test wicket.

Tonight could be the final curtain.

more chance of hughes and usman batting the day out
No damn it. Ponting 200, Haddin 100, Johnson 150 and a 5-fer in the second innings. It will happen. Hughes and Uzi will fail badly and never play test cricket again.

Bounce. He got heaps, more than someone like Lee ever managed regularly. That and was moving the ball away off the seam from the lefties a lot, it's just harder to see because of the angle.
I can see why people in Australia are excited about him, but theres no way this guy is ready to play test cricket. Nor is he really likely to be any good outside of this pitch and maybe a couple of pitches in Australia at the moment till he works on his action and learns other skills. He's 6'3 not 6'9, the only weapon he has at the moment is all out pace, which to be honest is not the worst thing for an 18 year old but lets not get carried away by the fact that he was pretty ordinary out there.

Most sensible Australians agree he shouldn't be there and he hasn't done anything to prove worthy of a spot. He's got great potential, but if the Test side is the best place for him to learn his trade is pretty debatable. It's just one final straw clutching effort from Hilditch.

But when you see how much better than our "most successful left arm quick" he was you can see why such straws get clutched at.

To be fair to Mitch he actually hasn't bowled quite that badly in this match. Couldn't care less though because he's a pretty terrible bowler anyways.

So dire that Siddle, who imo was our worst bowler yesterday, picked up the most wickets....

Impressed with Lyon (again) & Cummins though, they've both got a future at this level.

Cummins obviously has great potential but IMO he is a serious back injury waiting to happen

Selectors, etc really need to go easy on him
