There's nothing wrong with Nevill's keeping, and you'd be crazy to pick Hartley over him on the basis of Hartley being a slightly better keeper despite about 20 runs the difference in average.
Nev's as good a wicketkeeper I've seen, certainly as good as anyone who has come through the Victorian system (Ludeman, Wade, probably on the same level as Crosthwaite, couldn't really split them).

His batting was always a little robotic when he was a youth, and he had plenty of chances but never got any 2nd XI runs for Victoria. He's taken his opportunity up north with both hands though, good on him. I'd pick Wade over him as a batsman every day of the week, and twice on Sunday, though.

I don't think Nevill is behind Wade at all as a bat. Apart from a lean trot after Christmas last summer he has been amazingly consistent for us. I'd go for Wade today though because he's had more games and so proven his own consistency and quality (Nev probably will eventually, but hasn't yet), and his one day and 20-20 batting gives him a huge edge if you want someone to fill all three roles. I've been a massive Haddin fan, but it's time to move on.

Is the Gabba pitch slow or are Qld trying to make sure there's plenty of time for NSW to chase a small total? They're going at <2rpo but they're only 2 down. Should be at least 50 runs in front of where they are.

from what i've seen we're bowling a pretty good line. qld batting line-up hardly screams fast scoring does it?

Yeah he hasn't taken too many bags full (bb 4/65) but the rpo is 2.16 in that time 17 wickets @ 27.

Interesting that with no Doug SOK hasn't gone to the secret weapon.

Give the Kat a bowl!

Hopefully we can set 250+, which will not be easy to chase on the final day, particularly if there is cloud cover tomorrow.
