Yeah this situation is a little extreme, I doubt our bowlers need rest, but I'm just thinking from a psychological POV.

Imagine the WI bowlers being asked to bowl after being on the field for close to 2 days and then you have Sehwag just crushing you to bits for the heck of it.

Maybe let Tendulkar open with Sehwag/Gambhir and get that 100th hundred out of the way before the Oz tour? Give him 2 sessions to get there or declare when he gets out.:p

Only reason I'm saying is cuz there is sooooo much time left lol. It's not even half way through the test yet.

Sachin and Sehwag going ODI mode at the Eden Garden, would be a viewers delight :)

That's ridiculous. Your job is to win the game as quickly and as thoroughly as possible. It would serve zero purpose to bat right now. If Sachin has a problem with getting his 100th 100 out of the way, he can ****ing deal with it himself.

If Dhoni decided not to enforce the follow on when nigh on 500 ahead for the purpose of giving an individual player the chance to reach a career milestone, he isn't fit to captain the side.

Really is a disgraceful performance from the West Indies, just gave up yesterday and today they batted to their full potential which isn’t a lot. They are hitting new lows and back home their A team can just about beat Bangladesh A. They are truly ****ed.

People harp on about bowling stocks being at an all-time low but there is 3 or 4 test playing nations who can’t bat, so that issue is offset.

IMO the fact that he let an opposition player get back to the crease after being out within the rules of the game already showed that.

This. Actually the bowling stocks are pretty fine atm.:p

It is the batting stocks which are low in terms of comparison with other times.

Let's look at the over allocation in this Indian side, for this innings. We find that both seamers bowled less than either of the spinners. Ojha, in particular, bowled a massive 21 overs out of the 48. This should be thought about and discussed a little. The attack has decent pace and is also chipping away wickets quickly. Yet, instead of giving them an extended bowl so that they're in the groove and ready for Australia, we find Dhoni turning to the spinners and then letting them churn out loads of overs. It's almost like he wants his spinners to have a good game far, far more than his seamer. To add, their strike rates are also poor in this innings, and we see tailenders making the most of it. Has Dhoni missed a trick with the over allocation?
