There are no points for draws. This season is going to be craazzzzzy. Only the first innings counts for batting/bowling points so the second innings is basically meaningless unless you win.

The bowling is oddly not related to runs at all, just the SR. Getting 9 wickets within 110 overs will see you max out your bowling points.

Need to score 400 in 110 overs to max out your batting, Wellington missed out by 2 overs.

Ahh Jimmy, WAG. Wonder how many runs Wellington will try and run up. Bet they're still spooked by Pinga's ridiculous 4th innings chase last year.

Gotta love an early season wicket fest. Nice to see Southee back into decent wicket taking shape.

LOL at Boult being sent out as a nightwatchmen to protect an opening batsman.

It's your job, do it yourself, you lazy ****.

ND and Auckland both I thought.
Nah it was posted just after Auckland were bowled out, so just for their innings. Buggered if I know how the bonus points work, I don't understand them in most sports. Or why they're there.

And nor do I agree with nightwatchmen. Boult's on a hiding to nothing batting in fading light (if that's the case, it certainly was in Auckland) against a guy steaming in after taking 6-for earlier that morning.

Which brings me to another point..Margot Butcher tweeted that Joey Yovich was going to open the batting, but was down at seven due to a glute injury. Interesting if he is an opener now.

Awesome!

I would even pay a small amount of money for this (though I'm sure not enough to make it close to economic). It would however be very bad for my productivity and social life during summer.

Looks like a lot of places atrying to pick up the slack after Radio Sport's muppetry. Good on them, although nothing replaces the radio comm.

Great Idea :)

Get Bates in the Test team!
He's proven himself at domestic level and even in the IPL qualifiers. When the Aces played Pakistan as a T20 warm up game he ripped through them. Bates was involved in the training squad before the BLACKCAPS went to Zimbabwe but who knows when he'll get the call up.

The intelligene of age and experience vs pace and youth. A tough balancing act :)

Get Adams in the test team!
Yeah not sure what his stance is on it either. With a "new" coach comes new ideas so who knows if they'd consider him or not. I think he should just lie about his age and tell them he's 25 :) He's clearly proven himself in every form and on every stage.

Adams would be ideal to take over from Martin and have an experienced quick to lead Southee, Bracewell, Boult and Bennett over the next season or two.

Can't see it happening though.

What season was it that Adams averaged nine again? Before or after ICL? My memory has gone mushy.

Close match between ND and Auckland. Wouldn't have expected ND to get to 100 with only 2 down - pity Jarshall out just before lunch. Auckland will probably wrap it up by 50 runs IMO.
