Why would it be a disgrace if they are found not guilty in a fair trial by an unbiased jury? Personally, I think they are guilty. I can't say that they're guilty (or not guilty) for a fact though, and neither can anyone else on the planet save for Majeed and the accused trio. You and I were not part of the jury, we didn't hear all the evidence, and we're basing our opinion of their guilt on hearsay and without being subjected to any legal limitations.

Either verdict (guilty or not guilty) would be a result of fair trial according to established procedures. People can certainly agree or disagree with the verdict, but there's no justification to label it as a disgrace IMO.

I think it's pretty clear that, at the very least, Butt did it, tbh. There's a difference between being guilty under the law and having actually done it, and unless some startling new piece of evidence has been uncovered, it'll take a hell of a lot for me to think that Butt is totally innocent.

I don't really care all that much about this - in terms of the result - as long as it doesn't lead to a shortening of their bans handed out to them by the ICC.

I reckon both of them have a good chance of being let off from what I've read, Butt especially so. That said, I'm 100% sure they're both guilty, but I'm not sure it's been proven enough to actually convict them.

I just have this really weird feeling that Asif could be the one who is let off the hook.The lack of evidence against the man,compared to the one against the others,is astounding.

Either way,i won't complain whatever happens.Of course a selfish part of me wants to see all 3 back,but i won't lose sleep if it doesn't happen.

Butt should get it because he was too much involved and everything he said was a joke that didn't add up. They didn't have much on Asif and he should get off. In fact most of the time, all that the prosecution did was label accusations against Asif rather than proving that he was involved.

I'm not sure if Asif's past history can influence the court's decision,but even it doesn't,his past does leave some serious doubts on his character.I think it's easy to assume that he's guilty.Personally,i thought he was the head of the whole ring.But after going through the case etc,i'm having other thoughts.

But in all seriousness, if cricinfo transcripts/summaries are anything to go by, I don't think there's much of a chance of Butt being found not guilty.
