Does that count as a win for Bres?

Good to see us making a fight of it. We're not going to defend this if we don't take all 10 wickets, so getting to the middle order with a fairly new ball was really a bare minimum.

Indeed. A small battle of intelligence and perseverance won by Bres. Rahane mistimed both of them; even the one that went for six. Inexperience written all over the second attempt.

EDIT: That's the length from the big guy. When the track is offering bounce and you're skidding it on, good length balls are much better than the short and wide route.

No justice in this format of the game for a genuinely quick bowler. :@ Every edge flies off the bat and there's no scope for error.

Well it's all well and good crowding the bat in order to create pressure, but when Dernbach bowls filthy long hops it's not going to work. We've not got the bowlers to flat-out attack.

Is this England's best vehicle to pick up wickets? Jade Dernbach, of all people?

Much rather see Bresnan or Finn operating alongside Swann and bowling to aggressive fields, trying to nip out a few.

Douchiest batting partnership in cricket? Must be up there.

Finn too full here. Needs to slip in a few back of a length balls.

Very good call. Have a feeling that Kohli could be the major contributor in the douchiness quotient.

Not sure if Hayden and Slater ever opened together. If they did, that could have been one of the douchiest opening pairs in cricket.
