Got to feel for Ravi there. Not the type of situation you want to come out in really if you have 1 innings to impress. If he scored lots its not going to look as good as it might have, and if he gets out like he did he looks rubbish

Didn't help he was sitting with his pads on for the best part of a day either.

Machine.

It's just ridiculous to think that Bresnan, Broad, Swann are still to bat and Prior has just got there.

I feel for the genuine prospects who've been robbed of a few dozen opportunities so that Essex chump could perform atrociously for England once more. He didn't get much chance this game but he was still there long enough to make himself look a bit dire.

As much as it pains me to say it, I hope Cook gets the triple.
Well played that man.

Any cricket fan has to be impressed by his record in the last 2 years, his appetite for big scores once he is in is ridiculous.

Guess he can get 300 and we can then declare with a 500+ lead. Should be enough.

I actually don't feel for Ravi at all. Not to be a ****, but the reality is that he's been given more than ample opportunities at the ODI level and at the test level in the past and has been a massive disappointment. In addition, he's hardly setting the world alight in FC cricket, and as a result he's not even made a concrete case for his inclusion in the side. I'd feel for him if he was good and wasn't getting an opportunity. At the moment, its just justice I'm afraid.

I don't want to see us get bowled out quickly from here going for the slog, that would be stupid beyond belief.

Stupid shot just before tea. Really no need to do that. Not letting them back in the game at all but don't see the sense.

Great stuff from Cook -- passed six of Hammond's double-tons so far today, hope he makes it past the seventh

It's the way he's still happy to block or leave most, work it away for one on the leg, and push hard for two if he manages to get one through the off side.

Incredible strength of mind, I can't even think of a chance hes offered.
