Manee
Cricketer Of The Year
The only positive is that this may finally drill into the selectors heads that he is not good enough for Test cricket.Sreesanth is so ****ing frustrating.
2/3 good balls then a loose one right on cue everytime.

heh, easy from the couch, tbh.Agree somewaht, but I must emphasize that the dismissals are what cricket is about. The Indian top batsmen should be able to handle some pressure and good bowling and NOT appear to look sluggish and tentative. I think they do deserve some criticism:
-Gambhir out to a loose drive
-Sehwag got out of the way halfheartedly
-Tendulkar could have left that delivery
-Laxman went for the hook, straight too a fielder set there for him.
damn it.....I missed BoycottWhile we get a incredibly Smug Geoffrey Boycott on Star Cricket.
There is no way Sachin would have played at that ball the way he did in South Africa tbh, even in the most hostile spells of bowling by Steyn.heh, easy from the couch, tbh.
Bugger, missed it. Anything particularly revealing / salient that I can use to help in my one-man crusade to lift wicketkeeping standards at the junior level in Oxfordshire?Great piece about keeping technique on Sky.
Just proving my point (Laxman aside). There is no way Sachin would have played at that ball the way he did in South Africa tbh, even in the most hostile spells of bowling by Steyn.
Gambhir was trying to play straighter until that shot,Laxman's shot could have been avoided easily and well Raina was being dire.
But the point was that they could have played better. Yes it was good bowling but these players have a calibre of playing way better and it was nothing which they haven't faced in the past.Just proving my point (Laxman aside).
Anyway.
Here's Ishant to relieve the pressure.Breaking news!
A ball went past the edge.
The bit I found most interesting was the discussion regarding his controversial taking the ball in front of the stumps for a run-out.Bugger, missed it. Anything particularly revealing / salient that I can use to help in my one-man crusade to lift wicketkeeping standards at the junior level in Oxfordshire?
Nope, I'm generally happy if they take the ball, whether in front or behind the stumps. In front is significantly quicker to my mind, having played around with it several times in practices myself. The bit I found most interesting was the discussion regarding his controversial taking the ball in front of the stumps for a run-out.
Not sure that's much use for junior cricket in Oxfordshire.
Oh yeah it's a no brainer for me, if the keeper is quick enough in getting the ball fron in front of the stumps to the stumps.Nope, I'm generally happy if they take the ball, whether in front or behind the stumps. The lead will surely be whatever England want it to be. This is looking like a declaration innings.Crikey this attack looks ordinary. Got to get a 200 lead at least here.
Try not to take the ball outside of your body (there's a good Ian Healy vid on youtube on this very point).Bugger, missed it. Anything particularly revealing / salient that I can use to help in my one-man crusade to lift wicketkeeping standards at the junior level in Oxfordshire?
Reckon you need to repost what you said earlier about people who just look at the wicket-taking deliveries.heh, easy from the couch, tbh.
