*Official* Bangladesh in Zimbabwe

Yeah it's been ages for Bangladesh. Anyone know when and who their next Test opponent is?

Man Marmadoolah couldn't have picked out the fielder any better. Soft dismissal from him. I don't mind Vitori, certainly has some potential seeing as though he's only 21.

Jarvis reminds me a little of Steve Waugh as a bowler. Reckon he would take Waugh's 92 Test wickets @ 37 too.

They'll host WI, NZ and Pakistan in the next 6 months
Thanks mate.

Just reading over the discussion from yesterday and people were talking about a replacement for Razzak, how about Naeem Islam?

Shakib and Mahmudullah plus 3 quicks is enough bowling really and Naeem will increase the batting depth. I notice in the domestic final he made 112 and 52* and he made a half century in his last Test match.

He bowls similar to Razzak too.

Why the hell isn't Siddique playing in this test match? I just checked the scorecard for the first time and was very suprised to see him not playing. I think the Bangladesh selectors judged Siddique by his performances in the shorter forms and in the tour matches. Which is dire because Siddique's performances in his last 5 or 6 tests were quite good, IIRC.

He performed with quite some aplomb as a stonewalling batsman in the home series vs India and England last year. He's a poor bowler, but it doesn't hurt to have an extra option on a turning home wicket.

Tbh, I think the line-up we had for those two series was the best one available to us and I really don't see why we're tinkering with it. Siddique and Naeem should both be in, and Razzak should relinquish second spinner duties to Mahmdulluah. There is no value in having Razzak in a test team whatsoever.

A bit late, but I'm going to go with stumped from the bowling of Price for 69.
The score was close, falls for 73. Really, really dire shot considering the state of the game. Just a simple guide to third man gone wrong, edges straight to the keeper, soft dismissal.

Reckon the Banglas will concede a lead of 70, but hold on for the draw.
I can't really see Zim getting 5/60 even with the new ball. These 2 batsman are very solid, the only issue I can see for Shakib is if he gets nervous once in the 90s (especially 96) again.

Mpofu gets Razzaq with a yucky full toss.

It was actually set up quite well, but you should never be getting out to one of those.

Would be good if Vitori could pick up a Michelle on debut, not that I'm watching or owt. Just hope the evil Mpofu can't stop him.

Is it just me or does Kyle Jarvis' bowling action look a lot like Tim Southee's?

Great to see Zimbabwe doing so well. Will be very interesting to see how they go in the ODIs and then against Pakistan and New Zealand.
