and 7 in the NZ team actually. (#3-#9 - a shame about the openers)Very good indeed.
8-9-10 of Vettori-Franklin-Mills is pretty good too (Mills has a 1st class century)

Not sure how many times this has occurred but Pat Symcox, who batted 11 that game had a better test batting average (28.50) than Adam Bacher, who opened. Dave Richardson is batting awfully high in that scorecard as well; ideally he would be batting 11. Scary, scary tail but fairly weak top order.just picked a random scorecard from Klusener's early career - HowSTAT! Match Scorecard
so yeah
edit probably not the best example actually. but oh wellz

In the 3rd test of the 1999 series, the New Zealand 9,10,11 consisted of Nash, Harris, and VettoriI preferred this effort from England.
EDIT: Ha. Pretty useful batting tail from NZ in that game: Cairns, Nash & Vettori...
1999 Vettori still had a test batting average of 23 while for me Cairns was different class to Bres.Oh. An 8,9,10,11 of Cairns, Nash, Harris and Vettori is surely a step up from Bresnan, Broad, Swann, Anderson.
Bresnan maybe about as good as Cairns, Broad superior to Nash, but Harris and Vettori (even 1999 Vettori) miles ahead of Swann & Anderson.
Didn't realize you were a huge Brez fan. Wag.Bresnan maybe about as good as Cairns.
Never. Can compare the bowling, but not the batting.Bresnan maybe about as good as Cairns
Cairns definitely better than Bresnan
Why will nobody acknowledge this undeniable fact?
I'd much prefer to watch Chris Cairns, and he has the greater overall first class record, but it's hard to play down Bresnan's effectiveness in his role in test cricket so far. Cairns was the better bowler when fit, or at least more likely to bag you a hatful of wickets.Never. Can compare the bowling, but not the batting.
I can't understand it, it's all there in black & white. Why will nobody acknowledge this undeniable fact?
because everybody has been blinded by Bresnan's brillianceWhy will nobody acknowledge this undeniable fact?
