In the end though it's not anything anyone wants to see. If you want Bell out, actually get him out via the normal contest between bat and ball, not via an honest, simple bit of negligence.

poor stuff by India Bell was surely stupid to assume its 4 but they should have withdrawn the appeal could see it having a negative spilling over rest of the series.

In Football, there is a saying that, "you must play to the 'whistle'".

Same applies here. But i'm pretty sure, there will be plenty of "Cheats" accusation thrown in the laughably stupid English media.

If I was captain, i would be never have withdrawn that appeal....not in a million years.

Not least against these bunch of ****s anyway...

Look at Morgan.

He stays in the crease and indicates to Bell and then turns to the umpire to ask.

How in the world is that cheating? Batsman just assumed its tea and walked off. Thats utter stupidity. Disgraceful from the batsman not from the other team.
It's not cheating. It is just very poor sportsmanship. Whether or not the batsman has been stupid is not really the point.

Sloppy from Bell. Out according to the Laws.

But that's not cricket. A fielder can only act that way if he is pretty sure it is a boundary. Hence Bell was fooled into thinking it was a boundary. Maybe not on purpose by Praveen, but that's not really the point. He tricked Bell into it!

Mahendra Singh Dhoni should not have appealed. Simple as that. IMHO, this gets into the sort of cricket like rolling the ball over the ground, or running out a batsman that celebrates his hundred.

Well, at least I finally know whom to support!

Looks bad on India. Perhaps it may have been best to withdraw the appeal. Reminds me of the Collingwood incident a couple of years ago against New Zealand.

Then don't appeal when the ball hits the bowlers fingers and the non striker's stumps too,off a perfectly good straight drive.

Ganguly is a hypocrite. Where did his morals go when he appealed for Vaughan's andling the ball. Bull crap.

Cricinfo saying Rauf handed Ishant his jumper before the bails were off.

Fair enough we'll run Tendulkar out when he goes gardening, actually run Dravid out instead.

You're not seriously comparing the two are you?

What will get seriously bad is if Bell is correct that Rauf called over. If he did then there is no way that should be out.

LOL. One of those things where you're definitely going to take a position based on which team you like / dislike. There is absolutely nothing to tell people would have expressed same same opinion before the incident without knowing the actors involved.
Meh. I'm not defending Bell's stupidity. It's just not something I like to see

I did. Cricket is a game where it's possible to get out in dumb ways. I'm gutted about it, but I also like that our favourite sport is ridiculous enough to allow this sort of thing.

Have you actually been watching?
He turned around and then started running , and then stopped and beginning to Jog on.

You could say he wasn't going through with it , but atleast he started too.

Why couldn't he have stayed in the crease like Morgan who was confirming with the umpire?
