Really sorry to hear about that mate (to the bloke who nearly got stabbed).

TBF, I've had similar experiences myself and I'm white. ****s are everywhere, doesn't matter what race you are.

Racism definitely still exists in this country. I probably live in the most dangerous town for non-whites in the UK, Colchester. Which is Ironic since our uni is more than 50% international.
Indeed. Actually one of my scottish friends (a white dude) hit the nail on the head in regards to what makes a racist crime different to a normal one, "it's not personal, but at the same time it's incredibly personal". After each of these incidents I felt this intense irrational rage about a week later that lasts quite a while, but you have nowhere to direct it, it's such an unusual and horrbile feeling, inevitably you lash out at the wrong people. The thing I with that almost stabbing incident was it was so out of the blue, I was literally walking down the street, when 2 guys across the road starts shouting at me, I stop to ask them what (thought they were asking for directions or something), then it's "you black bastard, I'm going to stab you in the f***ing neck" saw the knife, they started running at me, obviously I motored. Didn't tell any of my friends for quite a while, felt weird.

If you're unhappy about being fined then don't break the law. Pretty simple solution.
I was angry because they spent 40 mins on this, it was a saturday night, 10mins walk from Sauchiehall street and I was sober (which they admitted), I see you're in Glasgow so surely you can appreciate that maybe they had bigger problems to be dealing with. When you compare this to a 6 hour response time where I could have been killed for the colour of my skin, maybe you can appreciate why I didnt take it too well.

Not sure cook's wicket is the worst thing in the world for England at this point. They don't need many. 200 all out could improve their chances over a lengthy strauss declaration.

No Nasser, you can't see off stump at that ball Strauss middled today, because it was wider and he got further across than the one he edged last Test...

That's why they pay you the big bucks.

Haha, I know. Clearly they were desperate for an early effort, minimal thought required.

Nasser's usually better tbf.

No chance of lbw with Trott starting that far forward. Good thinking Trottsky, really should've done that in the first dig to Praveen.

WTF is Gavaskar on about? Something to do with bowling from a particular end where the umpire is shorter so you have a more chances of an LBW being given.
