Nasser's commentary so far has been appalling, refering to Zaheer and Praveen as 'dobbers' amongst other drivel. Fuming tstl.
yeah commentary has been pretty poor thus far.

zaheer and particularly praveen beat strauss numerous times but you hardly heard a word of praise from the commentators. (strauss did well to not follow the deliveries though)
Barely discussed the dropped catch too.
worst bit was them calling the bowlers dobbers and stuff
i'm like dude, this guy's beating the batsman with beauties but you are still calling him a **** bowler.

Expecting India to have them 3 or 4 down by lunch was a tad unrealistic IMO. They are doing a decent job and building pressure by not giving away too many easy runs. The Indian attack has never run through teams like SA and England in recent times, they always play attritional cricket and it seems to work fairly well. They don't have the bowlers or attributes to go all out attack. Give some credit to England for batting patiently FFS.

It's been a good, enjoyable session and just the kind of conditions you want for Test cricket. The bowling has been very good, in conditions where it should be very good, but England have stuck on well.

If India can bowl that tightly all series, I think they will do well. Plenty of play and misses.

Won't call it England's session, but they have created a chance of making the second session theirs. Now it's India's job to deny that.
I'd say: Honours even.
But India have missed an opportunity. So Strauss the happier captain.

Edit: that soons harsh when reading it. Better to say England did will to see the attack off.

picking sree ahead of praveen would've been a disastrous move...

Odd start from India after lunch. As if they're trying a bit too hard.

Another drop doesn't help. Although - byes?

EDIT: Hmm, eyes playing tricks on me. Thought he hit it.

Because Sharma is bowling long-hops, frankly.
Yeah and he could have got out to those long hops.

In Australia, he tried to play the pull shot a few times and kept lobbing it straight in the air off the top edge. Needs to either shelve them, or play them better.
