The thing is it isn't just the showers that will be a problem today, the fact virtually the whole country is covered in cloud means the light is dull so it might not be raining but the umpires won't let them start.

Hm, not sure about that. I think England's stance was "Full UDRS = best, but any UDRS > no UDRS" and India's was "no ball tracking!" - in which case it's easy to see how it all unfolded.
