1. Create a poll.this thread is gold std why polls should be taken with a pinch of salt.
2. Wait a week.
3. Review the results.
4. Bemoan the use of polls in collating useful data.
... why create one then?

Haha, literally word for word the post I was going to make.Because he's a complete and utter tool?
Hardly:Yeah, but he's been just about the best county cricketer there is for years now.
I think his downturn coincided more after his injury when he missed most of Ashes 2009 and then came back in SA. IIRC he had a decent series in WI.I don't know if anyone saw today's Cricket Writers on TV, but Richard Hobson of The Times had an interesting theory about KP. His idea was that Pietersen, when he first arrived in England colours, was driven by his desire to prove himself and be accepted on his own terms. Everything about him screamed his otherness: his accent, his skunk haircut, his bling & his forcing shots from the front foot.
Now he is accepted and we have other players with his un-English brashness (Swann and Broad the obvious examples) he doesn't have the same motivation to prove his worth or that he belongs.
Not sure I agree as KP's downturn seems to dovetail with his ultimate rejection by the establishment after he got the arse from the captaincy, but an interesting idea anyway.
yeah coz arseholes like you need some counterbalance in this forumBecause he's a complete and utter tool?
But you're the one who put the poll up, so you obviously thought it wasn't clear cut. You can't put up a poll and then whinge when people vote for an option you think is invalid if you're the one who put the options up. It just screams of a set-up. Your conclusion only holds any water in a universe where everyone knows your cricketing opinions are automatically right no matter what.yeah coz arseholes like you need some counterbalance in this forum
prince ews,
pretty clear when majority people root for a guy who's been **** for last two years, more than rationalism is at work there. nobody's discounting the need for a poll, but I can ****ing draw my conclusions from that, can't I?
sir two things,But you're the one who put the poll up, so you obviously thought it wasn't clear cut. You can't put up a poll and then whinge when people vote for an option you think is invalid if you're the one who put the options up. It just screams of a set-up. Nah, you're being ridiculous. The whole thread from the start has just been an elaborate troll - and I should clarify by saying that I'm not calling you a troll as a member, but instead playing the posts here and saying that this thread has been a troll from the start.sir two things,
I have a right to moan about people who disagree with me, that's the purpose of the forum isnt it?? by moan I mean disagreeing and counterarguing.
secondly, I am not saying that the results are invalid or fabricated. they carry equal value to any other poll here. but it reflects a certain element of bias beyond appreciation of his contribution in the last two years. and I think i've a right to point that out.
You've done a lot more than just disagree with them though.calling someone biased isn't discounting their opinions. I have full respect for all who cared to post here, but is it a crime I don't agree with them?
and this:this thread is gold std why polls should be taken with a pinch of salt.
and this:but it reflects a certain element of bias beyond appreciation of his contribution in the last two years.
... you've pointed out that not only do you disagree with them, but that you find their entire position completely illogical and one unable to reach rationally. You can't pull that **** when you're the one who created created the poll in the first place. When you create a poll, you admit all options to be valid, standalone opinions, even if you disagree with them strongly - you can't then invalidate your own poll options by saying one or more of them can't be achieved rationally. That just makes the entire thing pointless if not a massive troll.pretty clear when majority people root for a guy who's been **** for last two years, more than rationalism is at work there.
What if he created the poll with the options "Yes", "Of course!", "Absolutely" etc.?You've done a lot more than just disagree with them though.

He should have if he thought they were the only possible rational responses. What if he created the poll with the options "Yes", "Of course!", "Absolutely" etc.?
AWTA.. this is something that sometimes can be lacking on here.He should have if he thought they were the only possible rational responses.
You can disagree with someone about something without thinking the opinion is so irrational that they must have some bias or agenda behind their thinking. I don't actually take issue with his opinion on this at all - what I do take issue with is that he's created a poll and then tried to invalidate one of his own poll options by saying it can't be achieved rationally. That's absolute bull****.
you win, prince.
