Most likable cricketer - currently?

I actually like him.
Probably my favorite pakistani cricketer at the moment and for a time now.

Was just mentioning it ,for the sake of it really.:p
Of course. I was just making a general point.

EDIT: I realise my attitudes on this may be unpopular in the modern, media driven "OH MY GOD A CRICKETER DID SOMETHING WRONG, HE MUST BE AN ASS OF THE HIGHEST ORDER" mentality that pervades nowadays.

You could make an entirely different XI and it would still be a good one. :) Wanted somewhat even representation for every country.
Ok ,thought you were doing it on ability too.

But on another note, i think he probably gets penalised on the likeability charts for some of his fans and the worship he gets.
Someone mentioned Rahul Dravid being humble despite being such a Star.Sachin is probably twice as big a star as him and equally humble from such a young age.

Is a nice guy in person too.

Younis Khan always makes me feel good. Such a happy dude, always smiling and enjoying cricket. Champ.
Yeah, Younis. -:)

honourable mention to Punter - was a complete **** back in the day but the way he has conducted himself since 05 has really impressed me
+1.

He turned out to be quite the decorous and mellow elder statesman. Definitely likable.

Jayawardene seems like a nice bloke too. So did Shoaib Akhtar, generally see him smiling and laughing a lot. Swann is pretty funny from what I've seen in his interviews. Brett Lee is another one.

Yep. Brett Lee was pretty likeable.

My favorite Australian cricketer for a decent period.

Gilchrist and Lee were my favourites. Loved Symonds for his fielding as well, wonder how much better Australia would be faring if they didn't decide to ban him.

Agreed that while Tendulkar and Bradman may be two of the best batsmen ever, for no fault of theirs, their names have become words with definite negative connotations. Once you start posting on CW, that is.

Don't think most genuine cricket fans would have kept Tendulkar in the 'likable' basket after he exhibited a callous disregard for test cricket.

Gilchrist and Lee were my favourites.
Yeah, Lee! How on earth could I have forgotten him?

Gilchrist, Lee, Warne, Martyn, Gillespie were all complete guns.

Don't like Sanga tbh. Neither Katich that much even despite their recent outbursts.
