I'm not convinced he's in top form either tbh. He doesn't look like the Dravid at old, pushing with his hands a lot more than he once did.

Man, I hope Dravid does well on the England tour. Despite his hundred in the first test, I'm not fully convinced he's back in form. He's only played sporadically well for about two-three years now. His recent hundreds have come against New Zealand at home, Bangladesh in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka at home, etc. He's done absolutely nothing of note against the better sides. I really hope he comes good against Englad, because we absolutely cannot afford to carry an out-of-form Dravid.
TBF, conditions were tough and I believe he has batted as well as we have seen him bat in a long time. Anyway, it's irrelevant whether or not we can afford to carry him, because an out-of-form Dravid is still better than most of the other options we have, against quality bowling in the conditions we are likely to face in England. This series has proven that pretty conclusively. Our younger guys still have some way to go before they can replace even an out-of-form Dravid.

To be fair to him, his hundred in this series was on a very tough pitch with very little help. The best score by a West Indian in that match was 27. He's still got it to be a class apart, but has been sporadic, suggesting that it's his concentration that may be going.

At any rate, even if he can't match his old consistency, he's still better than half the batsmen on the planet. He's Rahul friggin' Dravid.

He's been pretty poor for a seriously long time now, tbf.

But his century in this series was absolutely huge, I wouldn't be considering dropping someone who played a knock like that so recently. It's bought him a little bit of time at least.

He did get dropped on single digits with a very easy chance in his hundred though,in the slips.

Also the innings before this was given a couple of reprieves too.

He hasn't been in top form or close for a while now ,but as long as he keeps playing and grinding out one or 2 crucial innings in a series is still important in the team.

Didn't Barath make like a 70-odd?

Yes, I'm not suggesting that he be dropped. I agree that he's played as well as we've seen him play for a long time; but that isn't saying much considering how poor he's been over the last two-three years.

Exactly. It's very unlikely that England will give him such chances.

Yeah he made sixty-four.

This outfield is ludicrously slow. Makes one wonder what this score is equivalent to on a more "normal" outfield.

Marlon Samuels sends down off-breaks.
He's been banned from bowling by the ICC for throwing.

The answer is no-one. The fourth bowler appears to be Edwards (judging by the warmups he's doing), who has never bowled a ball in First Class or List A cricket.

Chanderpaul bowled some leg spin a long, long time ago, but I find that unlikely here.

Didnt know about the ban, recalled his part time OBs in his previous international stint.

Kirk Edwards makes his FC bowling debut, and we are really glad that SRT is not in the batting lineup
