Still it is up to the third umpire to be certain. Hotspot will more often work better when it is showing a edge or not showing one front on and it is pretty certain that there could have really only been that point of contact with that part of the bat/Glove.

He tried the same thing two balls in a row and missed, and regardless there was a long off for that shot. At least should have stayed in the crease. And batting at no.10 is a bit misleading, he has shown capabilities with the bat.
