Was thinking the same. It is usually.Isn't it end of play if a wicket falls in the last over?
Edge so thin he didn't feel it most likely. Happens.Mithun Strikes.
Bravo did not seem happy but there was a little sound.
Don't know what it was.
Maybe it has got something to do with the pitches too.. At times, even 200 is plenty in few pitches and in those cases, it is not always like "the bowlers did their job". Even getting the opposition out for <150 can be the bowlers' job in certain pitches...Time for Sarwan and Chanderpaul to shine
It'd be nice if they didn't let their bowlers down for once
The pitch isn't a minefield though. Sure, it's got a bit of extra bounce but as Raina and Laxman showed, there's runs to be had.Maybe it has got something to do with the pitches too.. Not saying this pitch is like that but it is way too generic to keep stating bowlers did their job when it is obvious it is tough to score runs out there and India still managed 250+ or 200+...
it doesn't have unpredictable bounce. The pitch isn't a minefield though. Sure, it's got a bit of extra bounce but as Raina and Laxman showed, there's runs to be had.

It wouldn't have been necessary, if UDRS had been used....Suresh Raina has been fined 25% of his match fee for his reaction after being given out and Daryl Harper has withdrawn from the third test "in wake of some unfair criticism"
I dont think criticism of umpiring in the first test was unfair.
Hey Suresh, refer it.
Chris Broad was the match referee as was pointed out yesterday ,so was expected pretty much .Suresh Raina has been fined 25% of his match fee for his reaction after being given out and Daryl Harper has withdrawn from the third test "in wake of some unfair criticism"

How many of those decisions would have been overturned conclusively by the UDRS though? It wouldn't have been necessary, if UDRS had been used....
In the Windies home series against Pakistan, Asoka was umpiring, but because UDRS was used, the damage he did was minimal. Refusal to use UDRS means that there's a lot of pressure on the umpires, and very few of them can stand up to the scrutiny of constant TV replays.
Also, have you noticed how many more problems with dissent there are in this series? The lack of UDRS means that batsmen no longer have that outlet to challenge what they feel are bad decisions, so hence resorting to dissent....
