The idea of using sledgehammers is to build up useable muscles and to train muscular and aerobic endurance and strength at the same time. They enhance your grip strength, instead of normal free weights, that just tend to exercise the bigger muscles. They work the hands, wrists and forearms in a unique strength building way.
powerlifting - arguably a form of free weight training - works out the big muscles as well as a lot of the smaller muscles that are essential for balance and core strength. the perfect gym work out for bowlers. and extremely efficient.

I simply cannot understand the logic of dropping a player who is in a rich vein of form and choosing someone who can't hit the ball off the square at the moment. Bell is a much better batsman than Bopara is and probably will ever be.

Stupid, nonsensical decision.

It's not like Bopi is playing well in domestic T20. Strange decision to have him in the squad, let alone the team.

Horrible innings from Lumb. 2 runs off 6 before skying one on the slog.

Played across the line five times out of six I think.
