Say what you about Sticky (and I think he's a **** coach overall) he knows how to get a team up for a game. Haven't seen us as fired up as we are this series in years.

Great performance blues. No bad performances really. Gallen MoM for mine.

Seriously, Paul Gallen. That's as good a game as you could ever see from a forward at Origin level.

He was awesome, but really he's pretty close to that every week for the Sharks. He's just a freak in general.

Didn't have a poor player really. And still it was a tight game. NSW defense was unbelievable. What about Lewis snapping Slater 10 out late in the game? Just a massive play.

I think it was Cronk but yeah that was awesome. Had him lined up a good couple of seconds before he got the ball.

Probably the gayest thing I've said for some time, but Hopoate jr's a good looking kid considering the genes he's playing with.

Yeah, it was an awesome performance. Best part about Lewis' tackle was you could see him coming on TV from a mile away. Was always going to nail him. Will Hopoate had a good game, but so did nearly everyone else for the Blues. The ball handling from both teams was pretty exceptional. Not a lot of dropped ball.

Can't believe we won...had forgotten what winning a live game felt like. Apparently 'Queenslander' only works when the other team doesn't turn up.

Will be first in line to buy the Courier Mail tomorrow.

Well done to the Blues last night. Gallen was mighty, wasn't he. It was so obvious that NSW was trying to minimise stoppages (by not finding touch etc) and tire Qld out. Maybe we need one or two more 80 minute players like Dallas Johnson for the deciding game, so as to allow us to rotate and keep fresh our bigger men - rather than wasting interchanges on backrowers. Just a thought. Hopefully Hodges will be back for Dane Nielsen too.

Origin Series' are always closer than people thiink. I mean, you look back and think 'oh we've dominated for five years', but some of those Series' have gone down to deciding games, and even the Series' that haven't gone to a decider have featured knife-edge matches. What I guess I am saying is that Qld should and will have been expecting a close Series and that they have no reason to feel uncomfortable after last night. Even during this period of unprecedented Series dominance, Origin series are never easy to win.

Real good win for the Broncos tonight. Played with 16 in the end and have a bunch of starters out. Can't remember the last time we won 3 on the trot during the Origin period.

Sad news this morning with reports of the passing of the legendary Rex Mossop.

The Moose that Roared.

WAFG he was.

Vale big man. You'll be missed.

Agree RE Moose Mossop.

Was a great game last night Broncs v Drags - there's was a real intensity at the ground.

A really professional game.

Elliott finally given the boot.

I know it's been reported that we're pretty low on funds, but it's amazed me that it's taken this long for a dead man walking to be given the punt. We gained absolutely nothing from keeping him on. We're now scrambling around trying to find a coach andwe give someone like Georgealis a trial when half the off contract talent is taken. Either we have someone ready to be announced for next year, or we're going to make another decision in a month or two on whether Georgealis stays for next year, by which time half of our off contract players will be gone, and there'll be no one worth buying on the market. Not to mention it's going to be hard for the guy to press his claims with a broken, inherited squad loyal to a guy that was more their best mate than a coach.

Either that or Gould is going to pick the players the new coach will sign for next year. 8-) Looks like we'll be due for another rebuilding year next year no matter what happens :(

Tonight I was having dinner with my kids when my nine year old son told me "Dad, I've got a bet on a Tigers' try as first points scored tonight"

"Really?"

"Yeah two two dollars with my mate at school"

I thought oh well, kids do that, I'd have a bet against my mate like that. But then he says "He's given me $2.10"

Nearly fell off my chair.

Good learning experience for the young lad. Value bet doesn't mean money in the bank ;)

Pretty dire game so far. How happy are Manly they chose DCE over Hodgkinson? Along with Keating the halves look like they have nothing. Tigers really low on spark without Benji and doing that imitation of a footy team without getting flogged thing they've been doing all year.
