thought that roach was the best pace option in the region? not that i am not glad to see edwards back!Because he's not the captain.
They reckon they need a leggie (variety), Rampaul is in form and Edwards is the best pace option in the region. That leaves just one spot and when its you vs. the skipper, you'd usually emerge second best.
Edwards to knock Kohli's teeth out. Jono to donate his own.
Just knowing he'd have a part of him in Kohli's mouth would be reward enough.
So tempted to chuck some money on West Indies for the win.
Down to 2.8 now. India 2.1.$4.33 right now
Roach is still feeling his way into test cricket . Besides if you saw the tests against Pak and the two ODI series, he distinctly looked off-colour. Alarmingly so, in the two test matches.thought that roach was the best pace option in the region? not that i am not glad to see edwards back!
They will never be forgotten by WI fans who were there....I love that the commentators keep talking about Dravid's heroics in the 4th test of the 2006 tour in Jamaica. Those twin half centuries were stuff of Indian legend.
May they never be forgotten!
Edwards post 2007 or so was one of the better bowlers in the world. Did some real damage against NZ and Australia in this period.Roach is still feeling his way into test cricket . Besides if you saw the tests against Pak and the two ODI series, he distinctly looked off-colour. Alarmingly so, in the two test matches.
Fidel is a strike bowler and while he tends to blow hot and cold, the fact that he runs through sides cannot be overlooked. The man may not have the best overall stats but some 8 five-wicket hauls in 40-odd tests would indicate that when he strikes, he gets them big time.
A fit Edwards is a must, IMHO, for any West Indian team. Roach is next-in-line and should have a fine future.
Yeah, it was a silly decision not to have a practice match, i.e. a three-day game against Jamaica at Montego Bay. They could easily have dropped one of the pointless ODIs to accommodate such a game....Bishop has a good point.
I think that BCCI's arrogance in not insisting on practice macthes is baffling. Surely, the schedule cannot be so tight that you don't respect the preparation required to go into a test match.
That bowling performance at Centurion was one of the poorest I have seen in some time.
