If Sree and Zaheer were going to be rested or have a fakeish injury, they'd have not been named in teh squad. It would have been announced that they weren't playing just like Gambhir and Sehwag.
By taking away Sree and Zaheer late Mithun has been unable to get to the Carribean in time because of visa issues. I doubt they've planned it.
