SS pumping up an Indian seamer... what the ****?
Just lulling you all into a false sense of security and then BAM - half the forum is going to have Wheel of Mediocrity avatars when I start winning all the bets. Will be epic.

The Indian batsmen will have to bat out of their skins - and that's a big deal considering their quality on paper - for that to happen IMO. Anderson is in ridiculous form right now.

Would be so good for India if Sehwag smashes Anderson out of his rhythm and confidence in the first innings of the first test. Things will be great for India if he makes Jimmy bowl negative pies. 1/100 chance of it happening but it would be a boost for us if it happens.

In other news, much like Sehwag's spandex suit, the definition of decent has now been stretched beyond all recognition.

Sehwag to smack the *** of England bowlers
It would be interesting if he does. I have a bet that Indian openers will do better Han English ones but IMO neither will do all that well. I sehwag plays a huge innings it would definitey be a first considering the conditions he will have to face first up.

Let's start with just one. That Chris Tremlett. Not decent eh. Total crap.

Finn, Broad, Bresnan, Onions clearly not decent either.

Really can't see Anderson having a bad series. Even in the last test series he was more than a handful for us. Dravid and Sachin in form would be real helpful and a solid Gambhir at the top.

They are well-matched. Zak is a fine bowler and well-suited to England conditions. However for Jimmy these are his home conditions and his home crowds*, and Jimmy has much more experience in English conditions, and let's not forget a better Test record here. Added to which, he's hugely improved and has an outstanding record over the last couple of years.

* For those voting for Zak, these are the supporters who actually turn up to watch Test matches. Think of a big T20 or ODI but extended over 5 days.

The idea that Anderson only performs well under clouds is antiquated. Sure it was a wet summer by Aussie standards but the conditions were not your trademark Anderson skies that people like to use to try and write him off. And Burgey knows this too, he just can't bring himself to admit that Anderson is world-class.:p

That being said, when he is playing at home I wouldn't swap Anderson for anyone, including Steyn. He's a World XI bowler wherever, but at home he's the best bowler you could have in your team.

Zaheer has a lot of expectation on him in this series and him against Cook should be mega. Can't see him lasting all four Tests and don't think he'll go as well as Anderson.

Will be a good battle though.
Agree and especially, as 2 of the games, are being played at 2 of is favorite grounds, which is Edgbaston and Trent Bridge, where he's picked 46 wickets in 9 games at 21 average. He's not too shabby at Lords averaging 28, less so at Oval where he averages 30.
Like you say, at home in England, I wouldn't have any other bowler in the world.

It's only truth that even the T20 Zak > Anderson?

Anderson. I usually prefer players who can be destrcutive and I believe Anderson has that ability with the ball, especially in home conditions.

Khan is quality but I like the fact that Anderson can cause huge damage in a very small period.
