English Domestic Season 2011

Wouldn't take Rashid on tour until he gets some FC form back. The T20 may help, but he was an absolute horrorshow in his last couple of Championship matches.

Wonder if we'll see Stokes or Buttler in ODis this summer.

Think being a leggie raises both the hope and expectation. Don't think another type of bowler would be touted for Tests with his bowling average - and I'm saying that as a big fan of the guy.

Is Yardy going to be available for selection for the T20s? If so, I can't see why on earth they'd want to drop him. He's one of the most effective T20 bowlers in the country as he showed when playing a key role in taking England to the T20 world cup. And he can bat.

None of which is to say that he's pleasing on the eye in any respect. But he's proved himself to be highly effective.

I still think ODIs are a step too far for Yardy, and though I wouldn't have a problem with him being in the T20 squad, I'd like there to be a few more players picked in two or three formats.

That said, with the three captains business, the selectors evidently don't hold that opinion.

There are quite a few players who could cover Yardy's role, most notably Samit Patel, so I'm not desparate to bring him back, and if he doesn't feel up to the task then there's absolutely no need to rush him.

Yardy is a so-so ODI player but a really good T20 one.

He's a really weird case, because in FC cricket he plays as a (bloody good) specialist batsman - as I recall he didn't bowl a single over in FC cricket last year. In T20s he plays as a specialist bowler who gets few runs.

In ODIs he's something in between, but the mix hasn't yet really worked.

An attitude that stinks?

Isn't he the **** that threw a wobbler when he was thrown out the U19 team?
Posted some abuse about John Abrahams on Twatter if memory serves. The U19 coach had the temerity to reprimand him about breaking curfews.

Talented boy tho, no doubt about it.

Just seen the first shots of Headingley from the Sky coverage.

Who in their right mind would be sitting in the crowd when they forecast about 5 hours of rain. I don't have a problem with people being optimistic, but thats just daft.

Yes looking pretty grim and not too much hope with the forecast either. Could be a very depressing afternoon sat in the stands, think I'd be making my way towards the pub about now!

So what? Plenty of the top players have got attitudes and he's young enough to learn from little things like moaning on twitter and it shouldn't be held against him, like Yorkshire haven't. It's up to him and the coaches to use that **** sure attitude, to make him a better player because he obviously has the talent.

Looks a great match up on Sky tonight.

Napier bowling very quickly first up and gets Davies fishing at a wide one for a blob.

As if to prove my point the poor sod had to leave the field with a "tweaked hamstring".

Nass suggesting Surrey's 154/7 is below par, but think that may be his Essex bias talking. Yasir Arafat, Nannes & Dernbach is a very decent seam attack.

Jeez, Nannes is all over Ravi here. Four balls past the outside edge before he got bat on one.

Good heat from an old man too; up over 90mph straight away.
