Game on then, England need to bowl a lot better than in the 1st innings but a couple of quick wickets and an injured Dilshan and who knows.

Pretty happy with that declaration.
Yes thanks to Bell we got near a 350 lead without it taking too long. Just under 60 overs is a fair amount of time to have a go at them, just glad that innings didn't drag out too much longer, we have more than enough on the board.

Dilshan can bat if the need arises. Depends how bad his fracture is. If he's torn a ligament in his finger as well then he will probably struggle to even grip the bat properly.

Yes , decent enough declaration, put on 63 in the last 10 overs. Now time for the bowlers to do their stuff again.

He really didn't look up to much in the first innings after getting hit. Looked in a lot of pain.

I reckon that declaration is five overs too late to be perfect - the Sri Lankan win isn't enough of an option to really tempt much injudiciousness early on - but should we get a couple of early breakthroughs then it's well and truly game on.

Cardiff v2? Who knows... that 33/1 on England is sure looking generous.

Pain killers and taping might help. Don't know really. On the plus side if he comes out towards the end he can keep calling for the physio every other ball to delay for a draw

They're 11/2 now.

The problem with declaring earlier is that if Sri Lanka get a half-decent partnership going they only need to hit a couple of boundaries and England need to put men back on the fence.
