This is where Bell winds me up. He doesn't need to slog to score boundaries. That's why he wasn't a great number 6 for me, and why he's not done much in odis.

Could the SL team have sought a review of the run-out decision?

Doctrove a strong contender for worst Test umpire atm

It's incredible how some umpires keep managing to **** up when any time they make a mistake it can instantly be corrected by a machine.

This looks out, top knock again Cooky, got a little stuck just before lunch, but has been extra positive after, along with Bell, the declaration now imminent.

Come on this is silly. He's got a hundred and clearly doesn't particularly care if he's out or not.

So if we lead by 320 runs with 60 overs remaining, you would hold off the declaration till we get it to six an over, despite just losing overs pretty unnecessarily ? Each to their own mate, personally I'd be looking for us to win rather than avoid defeat, just as all the top sides should do, imo.
Call it 5.5 then :p

Reckon the Sri Lanka camp erred in telling everyone Dilshan won't bat. Makes it so much easier for England to declare earlier.

Or maybe Dilshan's fine and they've had us all.
