I know cherry-picking innings isn't always fair, but if you ignore the 200 at Adelaide, KP has averaged 25 over 12 matches since the beginning of last summer. Considering his ODI form has been even more woeful, he's surely on thin ice.
Why take out his 200. It makes no sense whatsoever to do so!

The sling of Lakmal probably makes it difficult to line up a shot like that.
Looking at the replay Trott seemed to fall over a bit more than usual tree. Head way outside the line if the ball.

Lol.. Maybe his balance was put off a little down the hill.

Because it was on a road against a minnow bowling attack.

I think it does make sense, because we shouldn't carry a player who makes one contribution every year or two.

Saw KP's shot. Ew. Reminiscent of some of the really ugly flails Clarke played during the Ashes.

I know three wickets have fallen, but only 12 overs in a shade more than an hour is woeful.

But then it's about average these days.

hang on

not a fan of discounting the odd large score.

would one advocate discounting lara's 400 for example? for quite a few matches he was doing terribly ie in that series and the series in england after.

I'm not a fan of doing it either usually, tbh. I just think it's relevant in this case.

Oooh, shot. Most convincing stroke Bell's played.

EDIT: That's why Sky is so awesome. Superb analysis.

Jeez these SL pace bowlers have terrible Test stats. Maharoof averages 62!

But they're clearly better than the stats suggest.

22 Tests for the Roof. If he really is better, he's taking his time showing it.

THIS MORNING they are better than the stats, but can they keep it going all day and can the change bowlers support the accuracy shown by the opening bowlers?

Russel Arnold on Sky has said that they find it difficult to concentrate for long periods.
