Its The Mound Stand. Row 29, don't know if that makes any difference?
Isn't that the posh bit? I'm not sure, I've never sat on that side. I would have thought you'd be okay.

Though - as I always say to anyone who hasn't been to Lords before - take a jacket! Wherever I've sat it can be quite breezy and cold if the wind gets up, even if it's a reasonably warm day. :)

I think the Compton Stand?

They were the cheap seats, anyhow.

Says on the ticket you can take alcohol in with you, can you confirm?

You always can, can't you? One bottle of wine per person iirc, not sure how much beer it is.

Compton is where I usually go for, I reckon it's the best cost-for-view option!

Can't take alcohol into any of the other venues.

Bottle of wine or two pints. It says it on the tickets like, just wasn't worded very clearly so we thought it might have been bar restrictions. Thought I remembered Lords getting an exemption.

Yeah, Lords has an exemption - I think it might be the only place in the world with one. Best place to watch cricket, no doubt about it.

Was working over at one of our sites near Bradford today and it was cracking the flags, so if its decent weather in that godforsaken county it must be saharan conditions down in London, so hopefully no repeat of the Cardiff shenanigans
The weather should be fine and clear tomorrow with light winds, temp probably around 24-26 so more need of sunbloc than a jacket IMO. An East wind will be blowing on Sat & this will turn NE for Sunday but no rain interruptions are expected. Monday and Tuesday are a bit uncertain at this point.

All I want is another dominant home team performance, and I hope the Lords wicket isn't toooo flat.

Thanks to all. Will take a coat and a couple of cans (having only recently turned 18 - yay!).

Shame Jimmy won't be playing.

Would be amazed if there was any sort of seriously restricted view from the Mound Stand. It's an open and modern design. Wonder what they mean?

From the pic it looks as though there are some columns infront of some of the seats. Maybe you could just be unlucky enough to get a seat next to or behind one of those, you'd have to be reeally unlucky though.

Or, like someone else said, the screen might be above so you can't see replays and such.

I think it is safe to say India play higher scoring matches. Very difficult to make a comparison.

Not neccessarily .

Australia and England play in their fair share of high scoring matches too.

Australia have played in a lot of high scorers, our pitches at times have been just as flat. Those numbers have been hit badly by this summer I imagine where we consistently struggled to get to 300.

Have a sneaky feeling Sehwag averaged less with the ball than Ishant and Sree in that same time
