Sharapova's draw has been a complete JOKE, even more so than Murray's. :@ It would be a travesty if she completed the career Slam with just 4 Majors and her terribad clay-court game, while much better and talented players like Venus, Henin and Clijsters have failed. I can see Na imploding against her in the semis (hope not) and if Bartoli makes it to the final, she will probably choke under the pressure of the French crowd. Hoping someone can stop her. Wish Caroline Garcia had completed the job earlier.

Sharapova has been in great clay form heading into Roland Garros though. Think you're being a bit harsh. She is a fierce competitor. You shouldn't ignore that when judging a player.

Azarenka choke was always on. Na Li was paying $3.25

I know. Just seems a bit unfair that she should complete the career Slam with just four Majors. :ranting:

Murray's best opponents Slam record (going into the tourney): Troicki 15-14, Chela 37-36

That's...quite astonishing luck. (Petkovic was 12-10 and Radwanska 46-19)

oh, and while we're at it, Sharapova's clay game may be poor but Venus hasn't got past the quarters in FOURTEEN attempts...

Yeah, but Radwanska's just the perfect type of opponent for Sharapova to beat (though I think she once upset her at the US Open). Perennial 4th round-QF type player, doesn't have the weapons to compete against the powerful players.

Lol @ Wally Masur saying after Nadal won the first set that the match was still "in the balance".

What a douche.

Watching Murray play Chela is like watching a really bad women's match....

Half of the games so far have featured breaks of serve, inept serving, unimpressive net play....

Nadal must be licking his lips with anticipation at the thought of playing one of these two!

He will murder the winner. They have both been on course for ages compared to him.

That win over Soda is exactly what Rafa needed. Such a confidence building win. Even when he was tested in the third he came through.

Meanwhile I am sick of Wally Masur's commentary. You'd have thought Rafa lost that in straight sets, not won it, from his comments. Was awkward for Woodforde, who would have to follow it up by talking about how he's still winning against a #5 ranked player! Fair enough talk about how Rafa hasn't been at his best and there are areas to improve, but if Soderling is erroring in the wind constantly, why the hell should Nadal try and paint lines with winners and increase his risk of shot?

Fixed.

Fed at $3.30 vs Novak. Wonder the last time he was at such long odds?

Roger Rashid tipping Bartoli. Thoughts?

Jeez Sharapova fell to pieces in that 2nd set with the wind. Her serving was poor at the start, and then it became more solid and she took control. It then went to **** again and she lost the plot.

Awesome for Li to make two Grand Slam finals on the trot.

Schiavone has so much more to her game than Bartoli. Slices, drop shots and volleying.

Bartoli can hit winners and be consistent at the back of the court, but her approach shots have been poor. Schia passes her with ease every time.

Can't see this turning around unless the crowd just will her back into it.

Schiavone now up a break in the second. Gnarli and Schiavone are two of my favourite female players going around, so this is a pretty awesome final if Schiavone can hold out.
