And why did Australia keep / OR Kept cancelling Bangladesh series? It's pretty much a win-win for India. They'll probably still win the series while resting key players for England
stuff the other countries though

Australia-Bangladesh Tests dropped - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Before that you guys cancelled like 3 series both home and away with them ,IIRC.
One series was cancelled due to no TV rights at home?
Yeah, That's almost completely true from a fan POV but not completely, objectively from a player POV at this point of time in cricket. Yeah, It's certainly bad for test cricket but the IPL situation is a very bizarre and unique one for players because while what you say usually rings true, It has also been predominantly true that the most prestigious competition also pays the best but this isn't true in this scenario and therefore it requires us to abandon such a simplistic mindset.International cricket takes precedence over any domestic competition.
An informal window of 3-4 weeks would probably work.Make a window for the damn thing and problem solved.
Not that I see it happening.
Yeah that's why it should be an informal window. Other boards should just happen to not schedule matches then.I don't much like the idea of IPL getting a window. It's a domestic tournament and should be treated as such. You'll soon have every domestic competition wanting a window, otherwise.
The fact that this needed to be stated is rather dispiriting.Got Spin is not in charge of Cricket Australia Cevno.
Cricket Australia doing bad things for world cricket does not excuse the BCCI, and vice versa.
They are missing this series, after the IPl with the England tour coming up not during it though.Make a window for the damn thing and problem solved.

Where did i say he was incharge of Australian cricket though? The fact that this needed to be stated is rather dispiriting.
AWTA. This benefits the BCCI both ways, through IPL and through letting new players get experience. Not sure where the honour code and all that slots in. If we lose the series then the blame will be on them, because ultimately their goal is to make India win every single series they play. If we don't lose, then players like Sachin would've contributed to the IPLs success and at the same time we would have a better idea of future test prospects as well as won the series.Where did i say he was incharge of Australian cricket though?
He was going on about how BCCI was doing what was good for Indian cricket and shafting others by resting players with important series coming up FFS.
I was just pointing out that all the boards do the same and even cancel series.
Ultimately they are responsible for running the cricket team of their home countries.
3 POINTS -
1)Ultimately there are several benefits for Indian cricket in the long term and short term of the IPL(as i have listed them) and it is imperative that the big stars continue to play it for the IPL to be a success and reap these benefits.
2)With the England tour coming up and after so much cricket this is the perfect oppurtunity for India to rest players and try out some players who have been long overdue chances (and improved by the IPL too). It is not a very tough tour ,not a very easy one to test such players and with the Batsman getting older is a perfect oppurtunity to do so.
3)West Indies is no longer the most attractive touring destination for visiting teams and for the Indian player and the BCCI. Like Bangladesh may not be for the CA and Australian players. And please i am not comparing the two teams here, before someone starts to go on a different tangent.
Whether you like it or not ,all of the above are the reality.
And i explained earlier it does not exactly amount to a financial loss or cheating WICB either in any way as it should still be a decent contest and the series is remaining the same schedule.
Plus many Indian fans are looking forward to see some of these players in action and so are the selectors.
If you keep the above in mind, don't really see what so much hoo-hah is about, tbh.
It would have been fine i guess if instead of the IPL there had been a 20th series in 5 years against Srilanka and the players would have then been rested.
Really? The 2011 cricket world cup "Man of the Series " Yuvraj Singh & Captian of Kolkata Knight Riders Gautam Gambhir are not flying to West Indies due to Injury.....
