sri lanka are no match for england in english conditions. yes the sri lankans have a good looking batting line up, but that english bowling attack looks deadly. if anderson hits the right gear sri lanka are dead meat. and hey i think tharanga should be considered for the sri lanka test side.

The weather in CF at the mo isn't great. Its still a bit windy. Nothing like the weather of a few weeks back I think the forecast is going to be overcast with some showers for some of the match. So if England get to bowl first i can't see this going the distance. I have tickets for saturday so hopefully will get to see a full days play!

Believe it when I see it, they won't drop Chandimal for Maharoof. If they want 5 bowlers then Prasanna will go, and there's only one spot between Perera and Maharoof open.

They'll likely go with a 6-11 of Chandimal, PJ, Perera/Maharoof/Lakmal, Herath, Welegedera, Fernando

Don't understand why a 6-5 team is needed in tests. (especially when PJ is a tail-ender) The best available 4 bowlers should be able to bowl 90 overs between them.

This type of thinking is what blundered the WC final selection as well. So worried about the batting they weakened the bowling to gain a little batting, this time it looks like they are set to go the other way.

I'm hoping for a 1-1 draw that keeps both teams as far away from India as possible in the rankings. But yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Cook in particular being brought back down to earth.

...or the only wicket they get is Sanga, or a runout, or retiring hurt. Lol I don't care I just hate his face/helmet.

And btw I don't really hate Cook (seems like a nice chap), I just wouldn't want to watch him batting all day with his ugly technique. Trott though WAC.
