Most charismatic cricketer ever?

Lostman

State Captain
Yes. In my experience, some cricket fans are extremely sensitive to his name being mentioned. Don't want to ruffle feathers but I was a genuine admirer of the guy at one point of time.
Most cricket fans (me included) did, that is why the anger and disgust still exists today.

So while we are mentioning charismatic cricketers as different from simply good or great cricketers, we are implicitly assuming that there great cricketers who are uncharismatic. Who are most obvious such names (working with ability to influence and inspire as definition of Charisma)?

Dravid
Kallis
Pollock
Walsh

Thoughts?

Er, Trumper to keep wicket

But you could come up with another few XIs with no real difficulty

Charismatic cricketers would probably be defined as having achievements bar none on the field, not be boring off it.Having a major tinge of glamor attached to your personality adds up to it,and the ability to inspire millions.

Leading your side to a WC victory, playing country cricket for Sussex and Worcestershire, playing Shield cricket for New South Wales, banging more girls than the number of wickets you've taken, and opening a Cancer Hospital are the ingredients for the most charismatic cricketer of all time
haha........gun post

Dhoni is the most uncharismatic cricketer EVER.

How can you even call him charismatic?

If he was a Godfather character, you know who he would be? The guy who auditioned for Vito's cat's role and got rejected.

If he was a Star Wars character, you know who he would be?The piece of hair on Chewbecca's right ass cheek.

Calling him charismatic is worse than voting for Dhoni_Fan if he ever runs for President,or not voting for Sehwag_Fan when he runs for International Douchebag.

You Sir,have just lost respect.

Dhoni?

Charismatic?

I suppose you would have us believe that you invented the wheel too?

Dhoni has probably inspired millions with his wins in the T20 WC, ODI WC, IPL, Champions league and no.1 in tests. Even Pervez Musharraf was a fan of his locks.
He is the ultimate posterboy in Indian cricket and that , my dear friend, is not at all easy.
His helicopter shots are a rage spawning ads and millions of rupees. He knows how to play a situation and how to win a match which is the coolest thing.

Unfortunately, you dont seem to notice any of these.

King viv.
There is only 1 king of the jungle.

Imran second.
Warney third.
Simple but effective list.

I think they are the top 3 in my list too among the players I have watched consistently.
Although you can order them in any way based on their last conquest ;)

It depends how you define charisma.

For me, the most charismatic cricketer will always be Imran Khan but for completely different reasons, Adam Gilchrist runs him a very close second.

Gilly is disarming and charming in equal measure. That's very rare in an Aus cricketer.
