He was being talked about as a possible captain though isn't it? Anyways, Karthik's left hand touched the rope as far as I could tell, but it was a good catch nonetheless.

Ipl 2011

This time it would be the Kolkata Knight Riders who would be winning the title...great captaincy shown by gautam gambhir...and the team is greatly poised with some great players and the young guns also performing so well.....!!!!

Pretty hard to pull any short stuff Malinga throws at you when you're expecting a yorker every ball. Batsmen are probably thinking of playing with a straight bat and when the short one comes you've got to have really quick hands or spot it early to play a cross batted shot..

Shaun Marsh was relatively cheap as no-one wanted him apart from Kings 11.

David Hussey is over-rated in this format. His brother is better value.

Impossible to figure out what goes on in the mind's of these coaches. Shaun Marsh was the stand out batsman in the first edition of the IPL, then he got injured and everyone promptly forgot about him.

There were some ludicrous bids for some Australian players. I'm not sure what plans the franchises have with some of the choices.

If Australia had picked Shaun Marsh in their WC squad, he could have made the difference to their misfiring middle order. Looks ridiculously comfortable batting in Indian conditions in limited overs formats.

The Australian selectors feel the same as the IPL franchises. They don't want him either. He has not played a T20 match for Australia for 2 years and he has only ever played three, spread out over about a year.

t20 such a strange beast isnt it?? If anyone told me Rohit would be useless in ODIs after watching only his IPL exploits, i'd suggest his head to be examined.

Marsh looks so composed at the crease, and is so good to watch on song.
