Williamson enters to find himself with a rescue job, Glos 27/3 after 10. Interesting to see what he can do.

Brave captaincy by Alviro Petersen to give Will Owen a second over after he disappeared for 28(!) in his first.
He didn't, Croft came on. Went for another 10, Trego now on 56 off 21...

Doesn't score quick enough imo. If we are looking for a player of Chopra's ilk, Cook has a better domestic record and is already an insider. With Trott entrenched in the no 3 slot we really need some impetus. Hales is more an option imo.
Yeah, I'd definitely have Hales ahead - I love that bloke.
Also don't forget that our best ODI side has Davies at the top of the order as well. So there is a fair amount of competition about just if Chopra can improve his OD game by anything near the amount he's improved his FC performances this season then he'll be there or there abouts.

Are we likely to see an experimental ODI lineup this summer? I wouldn't be surprised if Strauss is still there, but then I'm far from convinced he's finished. I'd be more annoyed if KP and Bell are both playing, not because I think they're inherently poor but because I think we need to have a look at some other options while we can.

Also if Prior is still there ahead of Davies I may have to murder someone.

Rain saving Glamorgan from more utter embarrassment!
And CK being denied a century too. Still, Buttler there getting a nice red inker. His average is just absurd.

Hell of a comeback from Essex, especially Tsotsobe. 0-19 off 2 overs, then 4-24 in his second spell. Interesting to see Bopara continuing to pick up the poles.

Bit of a slowdown for Netherlands, but Szwarczynski played a blinder and Bukhari now has two wickets in his first three overs. :)

Rana Naved b Bukhari 17 for the third. Had some nice glances down leg, but now middle stump shattered.

And Tsotsobe making me looked foolish again. :p

Payne continuing the good start to his career, currently has 3.3-1-4-3 today, meaning his career figures are 26 wickets @ 11.76.

Shame he was slower than John Lewis when I saw him last year. Maybe he can add some pace

Not my favourite player by any means but delighted to see Mike Yardy back today - and playing well too it would seem

Play again at Taunton: Glamorgan set a tall 196 off 19.

Sussex in control. Basically all part-timers after Bukhari, haven't stood up today.

Personally, I think, they'll may be introduce, a couple of new young guys, but nothing drastic. I'd like Strauss to carry on as well, he's been very good since his return to the side and scores at a good rate nowadays.

Strauss should definitely play on for England in ODIs. England tend to fall into one of the two extremes in their ODI selection.. either keep trust for too long in players who are good in the longer formats but failures in the shorter ones, or chop and change too much ending up with several unproven players at the same time. Dropping Strauss from the ODI side would constitute the second of the above two bloomers.
