I go as far as to say only very stupid people think an action looks suspicious based on the ball bowled rather than the action itself.Well if someone Bowls DOOSRA , these days they all start shouting

Hallelujah...Looks like clarifications are in order.
It was the ICC Technical committee that came with the new "law" on what constitutes a thrown/illegal delivery. I had written here, on this forum then that we will see an increase in number of youngsters with suspect action and in the last two-three years have been stunned at the kind of bowling actions I have seen in club nets in Delhi and Bombay.
I think the cricket committee headed by Gavaskar is directly responsible for this.
Yeah...but, no hang on a minute. What am I saying? He's been cleared for life and Watson's a dickhead!Steady on chaps, the verdict wasn't exactly a complete vindication. Dave Richardson said,
"Ajmal can continue to bowl in international cricket on the basis he uses an action consistent to that used in the latest independent analysis of his action."
which to my reading means he must bowl in anger how he bowled in the lab to avoid a retesting.
Your eyes surely giving you the right old illusion. Don't let it become a hallucination.
That's considerably more than "a bit" really though it doesn't surprise me one bit
If you slow down the Youtube video, there seems to be a bit of elbow flex.
how can u say it's more than 15 degree's or less than 15 degrees?

3D action on 2D media, a perfect recipie for illusionsIf you slow down the Youtube video, there seems to be a bit of elbow flex.

It's difficult on a screenshot because the arm's turning and then going away from you. You can't really say anything from that shot.how can u say it's more than 15 degree's or less than 15 degrees?
kind of agreed with youAre we armchair experts at best trying to refute what was the outcome of sensitive and accurate bio-metric tests conducted in a neutral and reputed centre?
That said, the guy can only say whether 'less than 15 degrees of flex rule' is complied with or not. I wish the ICC came up with a definitive document on the How and Why of the rule, with detailed reasons for adopting the same. Right now it looks very arbitrary and prone to both genuine and inane allegations and misuse.
Understatement galore.Perhaps not the best thread to bump, but just how good do people think he can be? Seems to be in great form lately. Can he have a Saqlain Mushtaq-esque run? Probably the only offie who can bowl a good doosra now that Murali is retired (Harbhajan hardly seems to bowl it these days).
It's more or less impossible to describe the disappointment I now feel having clicked on this thread.
when did he own them?Ajmal is a fantastic bowler. It's a pity that he was selected so late, but he has been wonderful so far. He's 34 so i won't worry about the age thing since he can easily play on till 2015-2016.His body has not suffered the same wear and tear of International Cricketers,so he's still fresh.I love his enthusiasm and passion for the game, unlike the pokerfaced and overrated Rehman
He should be a permanent fixture in this team because if a guy can own the Indian Batsmen,he can own any batsman on the planet.Simple.
